Brother Lloyd Cheatom

Equity Initiatives Manager

Brother Lloyd was born, raised, and still resides in Pittsburgh, Pa with his lovely wife and their beautiful family. Growing up on the Southside of Pittsburgh (Beltzhoover and Knoxville) Brother Lloyd was always on two wheels growing up.

After graduating from Central Catholic High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree from Saint Vincent College.  He then obtained his Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership from Robert Morris University and now is a doctoral candidate in the School of Education at Duquesne University.

Joining the POGOH team in November as the Equity Initiatives Manager, Brother Lloyd is excited to learn more about the organizational processes and goals in an effort to deepen and strengthen community connections and relationships within various neighborhoods in Pittsburgh that POGOH Bikeshare serves.

Brother Lloyd is a co-founder of “1Nation Mentoring”  which is a 501 (c)3 non-profit that helps youth by cultivating their leadership potential, empower positive behavior & promote healthy life decisions in school and in the community. Brother Lloyd is a dedicated individual who fortifies students with social-emotional functioning and life skills development in order to navigate complex and diverse spaces while modeling community-centric leadership to teachers, staff and administrators.

Brother Lloyd is also a founding member of Rite Rollers (FKA Steel Rite Rollers). For the past two years, Rite Rollers  has been a POGOH Community Ambassador. Rite Rollers’ mission is “to inspire change, encourage mindfulness, and connect generations through cycling and wellness”.

POGOH’s Community Ambassador program supports the mission of Rite Rollers by sharing their platform of community engagements through cycling and wellness. It also allows Rite Rollers to continue their mission of service in communities across Pittsburgh by inspiring others, promoting and providing healthy activities, as well as encouraging mindfulness and invoking gracious space to become more comfortable on a bike in front of strangers.
