Pittsburgh is getting ready to welcome thousands of visitors for the NFL Draft. With increased crowds and street closures expected downtown, getting around the city may look a little different than usual.

That is where POGOH comes in.

POGOH is Pittsburgh’s public bikeshare system, offering a joyful and convenient way to explore the city. With stations located throughout Pittsburgh and a fleet that includes both pedal bikes and electric assist bikes, POGOH makes it easy to move between neighborhoods, avoid traffic, and experience the Burgh from a new perspective.

Whether you are a local heading to Draft festivities or a visitor discovering Pittsburgh for the first time, bikeshare is a fun and flexible way to get around.

Experience Pittsburgh by Bike

Events like the NFL Draft bring an exciting energy to the city, and biking offers one of the best ways to take it all in.

POGOH allows you to hop on a bike, ride through the city, and dock it when you reach your destination. It is a great option for navigating crowded areas, exploring different neighborhoods, or simply enjoying the ride along the way.

If you are visiting for the Draft, POGOH’s new Day Pass makes it even easier to experience Pittsburgh by bike. Introduced on April 1, the Day Pass costs $16 and gives riders 24 hours of riding with unlimited 30 minute trips on electric assist and pedal bikes. It is a simple and flexible way to move between Draft festivities, restaurants, scenic viewpoints, and neighborhoods throughout the city.

Plan Your Ride Ahead of Time

To make getting around as smooth as possible, we encourage riders to plan their trips before heading out.

Use the POGOH Station Map to locate bikes and docks throughout the city.

During the Draft, certain stations near event areas will likely see higher demand than usual. Checking the app before you leave can help you find the most convenient pickup and return locations.

BikePGH has also created a helpful guide for navigating the city during the event, including a map highlighting accessible riding routes and nearby POGOH stations.

What Riders Should Expect During the Draft

With increased activity downtown, bikeshare demand will be higher than normal at certain stations.

To help make your experience smoother, we recommend checking the POGOH app before heading out to confirm bike and dock availability, allowing a little extra time for your trip, and being flexible with nearby stations if your first choice is full.

Bike and dock availability may fluctuate quickly during busy moments, so planning ahead can make a big difference.

POGOH Bike Valet Assistance

During the Draft, you may notice POGOH Bike Valet operating at select stations in the Northside and Downtown.

Bike Valet is a term used both internally and across the bikeshare industry. Members of the POGOH Field Team carry the job title Bike Valet, and the feature is integrated directly into our system and app.

At stations with Bike Valet service, a POGOH staff member will be on site to help manage bike parking and availability. If you arrive at a busy station, they can take your POGOH bike and park it for you, helping keep stations balanced and making it easier for riders to start or end their trips during high demand events.

Bike Valet locations are marked directly in the POGOH app with a small Bike Valet icon so riders can easily see which stations have on site staff at any given time.

The graphic above highlights stations closest to Draft events along with the locations where Bike Valet assistance will be available. Please note that POGOH Bike Valet will assist with POGOH bikes only and will not provide valet service for personal bicycles.

New to POGOH? Here’s How It Works

Using POGOH is simple.

Download the PBSC app and create an account.
Find a bike at any POGOH station.
Scan the QR code on the bike to unlock it.
Ride to your destination and return the bike to any station dock.

Many bikes in our fleet are electric assist bikes, which provide a gentle boost as you pedal. They are especially helpful for Pittsburgh’s hills and make longer trips even more enjoyable.
